Finding Your North Star

What if building a business was about more than success? What if it could also be a way to express who you are, what you believe in, and what you want to contribute to the world?

A personal story by Patrick Chattelin

My personal experience with Launch You in London, February 2018.

Looking back

It started with online entrepreneurship. It became something deeper.

In February 2018, I travelled to London to take part in a Launch You programme led by Alex Eastman. The programme was about online entrepreneurship and building a business.

But what stayed with me most was not a business strategy or a particular technique. It was the sense of openness and connection between people from different countries, ages and backgrounds.

There was space to pause, reflect and talk honestly about what mattered to us. I experienced what it felt like to be open with others and to feel supported rather than judged.

The process, including individual sessions, also helped me gain a clearer understanding of my own purpose and values.

It made me think differently about entrepreneurship. Building a business does not have to be only about what you sell or how far you grow. It can also be about the person you are and the values you want your work to reflect.

My personal purpose

Building from the inside out

Over time, I found words that describe what matters most to me. They continue to guide how I see life, people and the work I do.

My purpose is to help others discover the deep and unconditional love within themselves, so they can embrace their own life story with peace.

For me, this is where personal growth and entrepreneurship can come together. When you understand your values and what matters to you, you can make more conscious choices about the work you do and the kind of business you want to build.

Your purpose does not have to become a business plan. But it can help you decide what feels right, what you want to stand for, and what kind of contribution you want to make.

A question worth asking

What do you want your work to stand for?

In a world that moves quickly, it can be valuable to take a step back and ask yourself a few simple questions.

What matters to you?

Which values do you want to live by, both in your personal life and in the way you work?

Where are you heading?

What kind of life and work do you want to create, and why is that direction important to you?

Are they connected?

Does the way you spend your time and build your business reflect the person you want to be?

Introducing North Star

A renewed programme, with the same central question.

Launch You now offers a renewed programme called North Star. The programme has been updated to include the latest technology and AI, while keeping its focus on personal direction, values and purpose.

What interests me is the opportunity to reflect on who you are, what truly matters to you, and how that understanding might influence the direction you choose in life and business.

Technology and AI can open up new possibilities. But I believe it is still important to ask human questions: What matters to me? What do I want to create? And why?

My experience in 2018 was my own, and I cannot promise that someone else will have the same experience. We all have different needs, stories and paths.

I simply wanted to share this part of my journey in case it connects with something you are thinking about in your own life.
